Credibility should come from work readers can inspect—not from claims of privileged access.

Public sources

Factual claims published by WWWD? are grounded in sources available to the public. We do not publish nonpublic workplace information, internal documents, private operational details, or material whose authority depends on the reader believing the author has insider access.

Fact, analysis, and opinion

We aim to distinguish what happened from what we think it means. Reported facts should be sourced. Interpretation should be recognizable as interpretation. Where a conclusion is uncertain, we would rather say “we don’t know yet” than manufacture certainty.

Primary material first

Whenever practical, we link to original announcements, filings, transcripts, reports, and other primary material so readers can examine the evidence themselves. Strong secondary reporting may provide context, competing interpretations, or facts not available from primary sources.

Corrections

Meaningful factual errors should be corrected transparently. A corrected argument is more valuable than a preserved mistake.
